This week’s Quickie is dino-riffic! If we’re talking about a cute, wooly, pink dinosaur, anyway. [Pterodactyls are not actually dinosaurs – Ed.] (Oh you shush, they’ll always be dinosaurs in my heart!)
I’m sure this is how it goes for most paleontologists. Playing with a long length of ribbing that folded in on itself, I accidentally discovered pterodactyl wings. Pink ones.
Not fit for flight, they’re actually a teeny shawlette knit with one skein of Malabrigo Merino Worsted in the lipsticky shade called Geranio. A point at the back neck gives it a depth of just 8.5 in/22 cm and the wingspan is a cute 44/112.
With just 16 rows of ribbing, and finished with short rows, this project flies by. Heh heh.
What are Malabrigo Quickies?
Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
