Malabrigo Quickies: Pasando by Melissa Goodale

This Quickie is a two-for-one! Introducing the Pasando Hat and Shawl by Melissa Goodale:

Melissa says:

Slipped stitches go passing, or pasando as we say in Spanish, across this cozy shawl and hat duo. The asymmetric shawl is worked from tip to edge on the bias causing the slipped stitches to slant. The same effect is created in the hat using 1×1 cables, passing the slipped stitches in front of the garter background. All the slipped stitches mean it looks great in variegated as well as solid colors.

Mmm, doesn’t that look deliciously autumnal? Makes me want to tromp around in leaves wearing tall boots and drink things with cinnamon in ’em! Such a perfect pattern for the “watercolor” colorways like Volcan!

You can find the Pasando hat on Ravelry here, and the shawl here (but they are the same pattern- you get instructions for both, which is a great deal!) You can also browse our past Quickies here!

What are Malabrigo Quickies?

Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
