Connie says:

Ilha Formosa is what the Portuguese explorers called Taiwan when they first set eyes on it. It means Beautiful Island.
It is where I was born, and indeed it is a beautiful island.

Each name of the pattern in this collection is a place in Taiwan with the name originated from Taiwan Aboriginal languages.

What on earth is “MFPP”?

MFPP stands for Malabrigo Freelance Pattern Project. Every month, we collaborate with an independent designer (or two) to bring you delightfully themed pattern collections! You can see past MFPP collections here or at the Ravelry link above!
