December is here! And this month’s MFPP ebook by Regina Rioux celebrates one of winter’s most popular flowers, the poinsettia!

Regina says:

The patterns in Poinsettia Proliferation pay homage to one of my favorite flowers, the poinsettia. I see one of those red beauties and I am instantly transported to December, a time of year where we celebrate our family and friends, take time to share a meal or two with our loved ones, swap stories and laughter and talk about what the future has in store. It is also a time where we decorate our homes with touches of the season, bake amazing confections, sing along to Christmas carols we learned as children and bathe in the glow of Christmas lights as we travel around our cities and towns after the sun has set. It is just such a magical time of year and all I have to do is glance at a poinsettia flower and I’m there.

So, in honor of that big red lovely and all of the December festivities I have designed a group of Tunisian and traditional crochet patterns to help you celebrate the season. Within the following pages you will find patterns to make a 70’s inspired poinsettia motif shawl, fringe and all, a lovely 50’s style hostess apron emblazoned with a brilliant poinsettia pocket, companion oven mitts with poinsettia appliques and a lovely poinsettia table runner that is sure to remind you of many holiday dinners past. All of these items were designed using Malabrigo Worsted, which means sumptuous color and a beautifully soft hand. Get your hooks ready and have some holiday inspired fun!

So fun and festive! And of course, if you’re not into poinsettias, simply change up the colors to celebrate your favorite flower (I think daisies or black-eyed-Susans would work wonderfully for spring!) You can see each pattern on Ravelry by clicking the photo, or go to the whole collection here! You can also browse past MFPPs on our Ravelry page.
