If you have seen Azul Bolita in person, you know what I mean when I say it’s a truly unique shade of blue. It practically glows! Antonio came up with this blue looking for a new and different blue, but not really knowing what it was he was looking for. It took a lot of experimentation until this blue came to exist.
As you may know Azul means blue, and “bolita” is the word we use in Uruguay for a marble (it’s “canica” in other countries who have spanish as their mother language). There used to be glass marbles who had a colour similar to this colourway when Antonio was growing up, and that’s how it got it’s name.
It comes in Malabrigo Yarn Lace, Malabrigo Yarn Merino Worsted and Malabrigo Yarn Chunky
