Malabrigo quickies: Noventa slippers
This month’s Quickies design is an absolute treat! If you haven’t tried the Noventa base yet, hopefully, this project will be a good time to start. It is become one of my favorite offerings from Malabrigo and it is seriously like knitting with the fluffiest cloud ever. The cherry on top is that this month’s pattern is for a pair of slippers! What could be better? You can quickly knit up some last-minute gifts as well as craft a superb treat for yourself.
L´Atlelier des Glenettes hails from the southeast of France, in Provence. While they started knitting at the age of 7, their design career started roughly 10 years ago. You can expect to find patterns that are suitable for children, family, and friends.
1: What is your favorite part of your Quickies design and why?
What I like about this design, which is otherwise quite simple, is the knot at the back of the foot, which makes it different.
2: What should knitters pay attention to when working this pattern? Do you have any tips or tricks that will make knitting this pattern easier?
This design is very simple. Just let the pattern guide you.
3: What do you think knitters will enjoy the most about this project?
This is a really quick knit, and I am quite sure knitters will enjoy making several pairs of these slippers in different colors.
4: What does your design process look like?
For the slippers, as there are two of them, I start by making an initial prototype, taking notes. Then I write down the explanations and check them by knitting the second slipper.
5: : What is your favorite color in Malabrigo’s catalog?
I love especially the blues, and Malabrigo’s colors Under the Sea and Whales Road.
