Introducing Caracol On Black
Things get very interesting with the new Caracol On Black collection.
Seven bold colorways that transform everything you thought you knew about this yarn — moody, textured, and full of depth.
A new Twist on a Beloved Yarn
Caracol has always been a truly unique yarn. We start with a thick-and-thin single-ply of our delightfully soft superwash merino wool, and criss-cross it with a binder thread to lock in the texture — a process inspired by handspun yarn. After dyeing it in our signature kettle-dyed colorways, the result is a plush, cozy yarn full of visual movement.
With Caracol On Black, we turned the process upside down.
This time, the base yarn is pure black — and it’s the criss-cross binder thread that brings the color. Each tone dances over the dark base, creating luminous highlights and high contrast that reveal every curve of the yarn’s texture.
The effect? Layers of color that seem to glow from within — rich, dimensional, and dramatic.
Meet the Colors
The Caracol On Black palette includes seven striking shades that transform color through contrast:
Cyan on Black, Arapey on Black, Sunset on Black, Natural on Black, Water Green on Black, Glaze on Black, and Fucsia on Black.
Each one interacts with the black base in a unique way, revealing unexpected depth and energy in every stitch.
