Twenty Years in the Making: Introducing Timeless Knits
As the year winds down and we gather around our knitting baskets for the holiday season, we have a very special "gift" to share with you all. We have been keeping a secret for quite some time, and we couldn't think of a better moment to finally reveal it.
To celebrate 20 years of color, texture, and community, we partnered with Quadrille, an imprint of Penguin Random House, to launch our first hardcover book, Timeless Knits: 17 Classic Knitting Patterns from the Heart of Uruguay.
A Journey Through Two Decades
This book is more than just a collection of patterns; it is a love letter to the two decades of our business. We returned to our roots, photographing the entire collection right here in the stunning landscapes of Uruguay.
We also had the joy of collaborating with a handful of designers who have been part of our journey over the years. Together, we’ve curated a selection that reflects the soul of our brand.
What’s Inside?
Whether you are a fan of delicate lace or chunky, satisfying knits, there is something in these pages for every maker. The book features 17 patterns, including:
Accessories: Cozy socks, intricate cowls, and elegant shawls.
Garments: Classic jumpers and versatile cardigans.
The Yarns: Every piece is designed to showcase our signature hand-dyed textures, from Rios and Seis Cabos to the bold, cozy Worsted and Rasta.
In addition to the patterns, the book offers a glimpse into the story behind the brand — our story — from the early days of experimenting with color to the yarns and names that have grown into the shared language of Malabrigo.
A Legacy for Your Library
We imagined these patterns to be 'timeless'—pieces you will not only enjoy knitting today but will cherish and wear for a lifetime. It is our hope that the textures and stitches within these pages bring a piece of Uruguay into your home.
For those who love Malabrigo, this book is more than a pattern collection — it’s a keepsake, one meant to live on your shelf and be returned to again and again.
How to Get Your Copy
While the book officially hits shelves in March 2026, we wanted to share this news now so you can dream of your spring projects along with us. Consider this our holiday thank-you for twenty years of stitches, stories, and support.
You can pre-order your copy right now to ensure you're among the first to receive it this spring here.
